Study of Media and Device Consumption among Mexican Internet Users 2017
Without a doubt, this study becomes the starting point for the generation of digital or 360-degree communication strategies, which take into account the habits and customs of internet users in Mexico.
Among the most relevant data presented by Kantar Millward Brown are:
- The accelerated growth of smartphones has changed the media consumption dynamics of Mexican Internet users, who integrate the Internet into every moment of their day and this trend increases day by day.
- In 2016, 60% of Mexicans have access to the internet, that is, 71.5 million.
- Internet video, considered one of the pillars of content, is consumed more during primetime (from 6 p.m. to midnight).
- During 2016 there was a strong increase in online purchases: 66% have made an online purchase.
- Male Internet users with children are the segment that makes the most payments or purchases online (76%).
- Lower SES people are those who have spoken the most well about a brand/product/service through social networks (71%).
