Google has more information about you than you imagine.

When you start using Google services (whatever it may be) you agree to the policies and start by being very concise in its first line.

"When you use Google services, you trust us with your information. This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it."

And when they talk about information they mean everything: your age, address, name, phone model, your phone provider, data plan, your photos, even The deleted photographs are found here, even if you have not published them on any social network.

It also stores the most used words, your searches, contacts, navigation, who you talk to on hangout, the locations where you have been on the map, who you have been with, the credit and debit cards you use to pay. Save what videos you like, what music you listen to, among other things you can find out in its Privacy Notice. Here the link https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

In my case, I backed up my information and there are no less than 8GB of information. Where did I get this from? Keep reading and we will tell you how to access all this information that Google has about you.

How to access the data that Google has about you.

My account

Since 2015, Google has offered this information to all its users. Here you can see all your activity with your Google account, whether you have a Gmail, or even if you have any Once you logged in on an Android phone or tablet, if you've worked on documents with Google Docs or are logged in to YouTube.

Let's start with your account, let's click on "My account"

When you click on 'My account' it will take you to the following screen:

This is where Google stores all our information. Now you must click on 'GO TO MY ACTIVITY'.

On this screen is the entire web history of what we have browsed. Inside this screen there is a very curious link that says "Other Google activity" you can find this in the 3 dot menu.

We leave you the link for easier access.

Here you will find your activity of where you have been through Google Maps

Your activity on YouTube

Your cell phone information.

We return to the main "My account" screen and go to the following tab:

Here we will click on 'Control your content'.

A screen like this will appear:

From here and from the next screen we will configure what we want to backup. It is worth mentioning that Google backs up all your information from all the services it has, so on the next screen you will have to configure what you want to back up.

I selected everything and after a few minutes you receive an email like this where all the information that Google has about you comes.

In my case, as I already mentioned, I backed up around 8 GB of information.

My 8 GB are relatively little. And as you can see, due to lack of use, there is no data in several categories.

And, perhaps even more amazing, it also has the photos. Each and every one I have taken with my phone, for more than two years. Deleted or not. Shared or not.

How is this possible?

The short answer is because everything has a price and Google generates a large part of its income from here.

Google services: Gmail, YouTube, Maps, you pay with your data, with your information, not with currency.

As Lee Munson, security researcher at Comparitech, says, "information is the new currency."

"It's a gold mine. For Google it has represented billions of dollars."

And well, now you know how well Google knows you.
